Pretty much. Who the fukk reaches for a prospect no one has ever heard of when your goal as a team is to win now. That's a Spurs move not a team that needs immediate production.

Mike Malone? Alvin Gentry?

I wouldn't be surprised if Masai ends up hiring one of the assistant coaches that works with him in the summer when he runs Basketball Without Borders. I don't mind if it's an assistant coach, just not one of these older dudes who've been head coaches before and sucked elsewhere.

I still think Masai keeps Casey for one more season, simply because they just resigned him. Lowry may be injured and would probably use that as excuse after. He'll add a few pieces, but nothing that will help us get to the second round. Other teams have better situations than us.

It's $3.75 mil left, the last year is a team option. He really only has a year left. They've done this before with Sam Mitchell (who had 2 guaranteed years left). They'll do it again if they need to. Randy Carlyle was fired by the Leafs and he had multiple years left on his contract.
