Swept 4-0 by the Bulls. They really owned the Raps this season. Last time at the ACC it was a dominant third quarter, this time a dominant fourth quarter. It's a shame, the Raptors controlled this game for 3 quarters but the D just kept getting worse as it went on.
Niko Mirotic is really, really good. Made some really tough shots early in the game to keep Chicago within striking distance. All-star potential there for sure. Noah is clearly not healthy right now. Gasol/Noah/Mirotic/Gibson is the deepest, most talented frontcourt in the league. Taj could push for a trade in the off-season, he's gone from a sometime starter to the 4th big.
Raptors need to finish the season 8-2 to get to 50 wins. They face sub-.500 teams the rest of the way other than Houston on Monday. Still an attainable goal, but they'll have to scrap for it after looking like they'd cruise to it earlier in the season.

50 wins is meaningless right now it wont take the stench off whats happened in the second half of this season...This years team dont deserve to be a 50 win team and hold the best record in franchise history cuz this years team has been fukkn embarrasing for 3 months...Gimme a 5-5 and 5 game playoff defeat so Masai cannot be distracted on what he needs to do this off season....
Its kinda embarrasing that this team was unable to get to 50,it should have been a lock...If i was the GM the fact this team COULDNT get to 50 is a reason id blow it up...
@Listen You Douchebags Niko is good but its tough to say how good,i dont think hes as good as we made him look the last 2 games...or else he'd go off for 25-30 every night....But thats the part about us thats frustrating we make guys look like elite franchise players cuz we dont defend them well...
Niko is making shots but how many of them were pretty open,Amir did a lacklustre job defending him esp in space,tbh thats coaching because we shouldnt be using his half an ankle ass in space to defend guys like Niko...We should be using him in the post only....
Amir used to be our best defender but cot damn part of it is his body cant keep up,part of it is the defensive culture on this team allows guys like him to become stupid by association....The defense where he let Mirotic get behind him and shield him for a 10 foot run to the baslet is just indicative of where we are defensively right now,even JJ biting on ball fakes last night...
Hes good but we make him and others look alot better than they are because we offer no resistance...

@Miggs I see your points but Niko is the real deal. I don't think Amir will be back unless he takes a big reduction in pay and role.
I still wanna see the Raps get 50 wins for once, and am pretty sure Masai is going to make some big changes regardless of what happens in the playoffs. We need to upgrade our perimeter D (one of Vasquez or Lou has to go), we need a real starting 3 and 4, and getting that stuff done might mean having to move one or more of Lowry/DeRozan/JV which creates its own problems. There aren't any untouchables here.

You're completely downplaying Niko here, hes been killing it all month with the increase in minutes
Last night was statistically one of his worst games this month
IM not down playing him,im being honest about the defense hes playing against...It stinks our team doesnt resist on the perimeter,on the ball,inside.
We give up open perimeter and mid range looks,open layup lines to the basket...Its hard to characterize a player when hes not defended well and is making alot of baskets he probably wouldnt make against a team that is under his collar and forces tough shots or the ball out of his hands....
His 2 games against the raptors he made wide open shots...you still have to make them but i dont think playing us is a gage of how well or improving you are as a player....Aaron Brooks 3 in the last minute of the game pretty much speaks to what im saying,where both our defenders went under the coverage and gave him 10 feet,Niko had alot of the same open looks.
Hes definitely improved alot and should be starting...

Hes been tearing up a lot of teams lately, and is the highest 4th Q scorer in the NBA in March by a large margin
Breh, Mirotic has scorched other teams as well, his performances against you haven't been some fluke, he's the best European prospect to come over in a while and him being good was pretty much expected.
Where did i say it was a fluke ? I said you cant gage based on our defense,thats a fair statement...
hes not a 25-30 PPG scorer but he would be if he played us 81 times a season...
I didnt watch those games,i seen bits and pieces of him and the Bulls this year and he wasnt lighting it up like he did in these past 2 raptor games...IM basing what im saying based on waht ive seen and the fact our team D stinks...I dont get what the complaint is.
Alot of what he did in 2 games against us was uncontested
