I dont enjoy ugly ass basketball so its fair to say im not enjoying where i know this season is headed...

the only teams we cant beat in a 7 game series are Cleveland, maybe Miami and a strong Chicago though.

Atlanta we have proven we can beat.
Washington...proven
Cleveland is probably going to the finals
Chicago has turbulence with Thibodeau and if he leaves i'm not sure they dont fall off a bit
Miami however is the wildcard

Too many nights this team gives up open looks uncontested and easy drives to the basket.This team is more than capable of closing out shooters and contesting shots at the basket and boxing rebounders out.
Its ok if you do those things and you get beat,but too many games this season esp in January the team doesnt even do the simple things you need to do to defend.

I disagree with you bruh,when this team tries on the defensive end and is focused every possession they are capable of being a good 5 man unit....I have seen it,so when they allow open shots and layups,thats just matter of effort.
I can accept failure with effort,but when you dont try and you give up 120 pts is what the issue is....

Alot of the issues are just plain effort with this team...also this team is gonna win 50 games,dont tell me to not have expectations when a team wins 50 damn games.I expect you be competent most nights based off that....

Any team can play good defence for stretches on sheer effort simply because if you're the NBA then you obviously have some level of talent. But there is a difference between good defence with effort and good defence because of talent and most great defensive teams tend to have a lot of talented defenders. You're right, this is a team that can play great defence when they go all out, but this roster isn't filled with a lot of guys who have great defensive talent, so with all that effort to play good defence, well guys are gonna start getting tired, and I think that's what we saw in January. Remember, we were starting Fields and James Johnson for a stretch for defensive purposes and both those guys are fringe NBA players, which says a lot about the defensive talent of the players in our regular rotation. We lack length and/or athleticism at a lot of positions. It's hard to sustain elite defence in this league without that.

And yet, we'll win 50 games anyway.
