I would say defensive issues is still this teams problem and they arent gonna go away until you make some personnel changes...Its odd cuz its the exact same team that was beastly defnesively last year and added a great defensive SF and they've become putrid...

You need a legit PF on this team....Again nothing from that position...

This D has to be concerning,we cant make stops and we are still the same bad executing team in crunch time...
The Derozan thing is a crutch...You had this game in the bag at the half and you dont show AGAIN in the 3rd qtr and try to win it in the 4th....

Im not convinced this team is winning a round...Our rebounding issues and inability to box guys out and get those balls is mind numbing...

Its one thing to lose these games at home to these teams its another how were doing it,looking like total punks...unacceptable.

Were half a season in and this team still dont get you cant get by on half a game...

Amir can only play 10mins a game.. after that he's faking it.. niccas ankles are broken.

JV can't play a complete game from start to finish.

Val had an impressive offensive game but he gives up alot at the basket esp on the PnR...Hes terrible at reading it.
Heres the thing if your the anchor your job is to defend the basket not "a" man....That argument about he cant defend 2 guys is non sense,you dont give up easy buckets in the lane...Your man is the one with the ball in the paint,regardless of who it is...

Losing a player like Derozan who recovers a lot of loose balls, gets rebounds late in games, and generally doesn't turn the ball over much is a blow. Also, his defence this year has been better (which is to say, it's not a liability). In fact, it's Derozan's scoring that has been lacking the most this year.

But it's clear that the Raptors are missing him now on multiple levels. Having a guy that can collapse the defence, get to the line, and get easy buckets for himself is huge, especially when the only other guy on the team who can do that is Lowry. That means the entire team has to work harder. If the entire team has to work harder then you start to make bad decisions, your rotations are half a step slow, you don't fight for those extra rebounds. There is a huge trickle down effect to losing your best scorer (and a good rebounder) when nobody else on the team can create their own offence as well.

The Raptors have been overwhelmed the past week and a half because they're turning the ball over so much. They're turning the ball over because Lowry and others are being asked to do too much. Derozan definitely relieve the pressure and make teams have to defend more than one player off the dribble. Reduce the turnovers and we beat four of the five teams we've recently lost to.

Let's see what this team looks after the all-star break. If they still look like this after being rested and with a health Derozan then yeah, time to sound the alarm.

With that being said, this team is still a big piece away from being a legitimate contender. I predict a second round exit this year.

BUT hes anti clutch in those big moments he always fails...
