This. Why would we give a shyt about the demon if the demon is just like Finn Balor but with higher winning odds? And like he said, why would we even give a crap about regular Finn Balor then? Why couldn't he just come out as the demon every time? shyt was underdeveloped and that is entirely on him not expanding on either character and drinking that Full Sail Kool-Aid.

As others have said, the Demon is not really a character. It's Finn with cool body paint.

IIRC when he did it in New Japan it was just him doing some cool cosplay for big matches (as pointed out by someone, like Rey used to do on big PPVs). So when he gets to NXT and they want to make a gimmick out of it without any character development and without any effort from Finn to making it stand out (it's just him in makeup) of course it's gonna hurt Fimn's "regular" gimmick.

Him doing body paint was clearly a good move. The crowd loved it. But they shouldn't have forced a gimmick out of it

The Demon was just Finn in a Party City Predator wig and face paint but he did all the exact same shyt that Finn did in his matches.

This is a bit of a collection of what things were said, but, Finn's DEMON shyt just felt forced.

Like I remember when he started talking about the DEMON, which is a big mistake I think, where your already killing the surprise that he's going to do it.

Then in a sense, giving it a backstory; it's not needed and no one gives a shyt.

Before that, he would come out in different outfits in NJPW/Indys. Obviously copyright stuff would get in the way, but even then, he could have different versions of the DEMON.

Going forward if Finn still wants to use the Demon, I would say do it, but make it a surprise. Don't foreshadow it at all.

The biggest issue, like somebody already pointed out is that he's no different without the face paint. He's just Finn Balor with face paint. The irony is that in the indies he used Venom. How the symbiote is used in Spiderman could've been the blueprint. His moveset should've changed or at least way more aggressive.

Plus, Vince dumbass wants ratings so he advertised when the Demon King was going to appear which killed the suspense. The Demon King should only appear when he absolutely needed to call on it.

No creativity..thats the difference between him and a real great like Bryan. He went from most popular to a snarmy eco know it all. Balor is limited in scope.
