Plug ins with ableton? I'm not familiar with ableton. I've heard of it but never used it. You should be able to use the oxygen keyboard with any program though. I'm confused about why you mention the plug in. Is there one specific plug in you want to use or are you just trying to get the keyboard itself to work? If you're trying to get the keyboard to work you'll need to download the drivers, not plug ins.ok kamikaze i bought this midi controller oxygen 49 key to be exact and it came with ableton live 9 lite and it was supposed to come with sonicvox plugins but apprently it did not get it so i think i have to get this or some other plugin.
so the question im asking is do u have to to get plugins that are compatable with this program or can u use any plugins

Not at all.oh i have the drivers i just used ableton live lite 9 cause it was free and i did not want to spend extra money but i could not get any further in beat making because i did not have any plugins.
so i guess in another way do i need plug-ins to make beats.
Not at all.
That's actually a common misconception.
Plug ins should be used to enhance sound where appropriate but often people use them inappropriately as a crutch, incorrectly, or when a plug in isn't necessary at all.
Are you on Mac or PC?
Yeah I've been recording for a while. Mainly other people's projects. I haven't recorded one of my own songs in there yet.Have you started recording?
That wouldn't be plug ins, that would be vst instruments.i think hes on about plugins/vst with that can make sounds and stuff, not the eq/compression plugins
I dont know what free programs you could get your feet wet with. You could download the fruity loops demo which is a great program that I used for years. It comes in different versions to fit your budget. Reason is a good program too. I'm just not familiar with ableton so I can't really help you with that one.
Have you started recording?
Tek did you have a playlist of beats that you're willing to let people use for the coli tape?Have you started recording?
