The purse is ugly, but I checked the organization out, and it looks to be a fundraiser to donate to already established domestic violence centers. It seems that they are discussing how financial abuse (cutting off all resources for escape) goes hand in hand with violent domestic abuse 98% of the time - being a biggest factor as to why women stay in abusive relationships. It does not seem to be talking about singled out "financial abuse" sans domestic violence, but rather, the combo.

I've heard of situations like this but nevet knew there was a name for it.
Its not like how the coli men are making it it out to be (She wants her own CC, properties in her name only, etc). They have no access to finances to leave the abusive situations they are in thus leaving then trapped.
Think about it, how far will a woman with no money, a car thats not in her name, and she's probably cities even states away from family go.
