There isn’t any conclusive evidence either Clive or Joshua lived or died. You never see Clive fully turn to stone nor do you see Joshua actually alive after Clive restored him. The post credit scene just has a book written by an author which could be their actual name or a pen name. That could mean the entire game you played was just a fictional story in that world and never actually happened or it could mean Joshua and co wrote Clive’s story or it could mean Clive used Joshua’s name as a pen name and wrote it himself. There aren’t any real answers and enough clues that anyone can claim any of these are true.
