You are better off not doing the side quests, not only because they are awful (almost Dragon Age Inquisition bad) but also because they make you hardcore overpowered for the main story.

This lady with a g string is fixing my car and told me to have a look around. To make sure I didn't get lost she gave me a MAP OF THE WORLD.

Like visiting a new city and someone is all "hey fam, use this to get around " before handing you a globe.

About to go to Best Buy and pick up a standard edition. My guess is an hour worth of installs and updates before I can start. I'll probably finish this quick as I never care about side content in games.

I'm not expecting this to compete with Witcher 3. As far as the underwhelming side quests, I don't really expect them anyway in a final fantasy game, just give me a solid story, detailed world and good combat mechanics and that's all I need to cop. Hopefully the patches fixes the camera issues though.

This is ridiculous. They said the delay was to stop a day one patch but here I sit downloading a 9.4 GB day one patch. I got 2 PS4s so I gotta go through this process twice. Thank goodness we don't have bandwidth caps. I still got 40 minutes left on a 60 mbps connection.

Witcher 3 is arguably the best game this generation. This seems to be far from that. It depends if you like JRPGs or WRPGs better though. If you got an Xbox One I can give you my copy of vanilla Witcher 3. I just bought the complete edition on the PS4.
