I'm happy it got pushed back. Xcom2 and Darkest Dungeon were coming out at the end of September and I would be playing those first

The fighting system is not better then ffxv though and neither are the graphics

I want to say quality over quantity, but there's no way an FF game is going to be bigger than Witcher 3 any time soon. Both are covered I suppose, but FF with a Kingdom Hearts-ish combat style is very nice...but given the last 3 titles...its better to just wait and see a lets play.

Witcher 3 is literally saved by the dialogue that sets off quests, even though so many of the quests are roughly the same.

So long story short a poster on ***** leaked the entire plot and development details of this game. They described chapter 0 of the game and impressions of that chapter are out and it is what they said it was. This game is gonna be a disaster.

Somebody on *****, a game tester, posted details about the game which now entirely fact check (on multiple levels). He/she basically said the game is in big trouble, the map is mostly empty, there's few cities or towns, entire plot acts are being rewritten because it tests with audience badly, the game has serious performance issues etc. They also said the game has ~40 hours playable content in total, which they're trying to beef to 50 hours by adding fetch quests.

I buy a lot of games on day one. I'll form my own opinions but the reality is much of the talent at Square Enix that build this series up has left the company. Sure some of the guys that worked on earlier games are still there but those were people who while they were involved they weren't the primary driver for those glory years or they just drew the characters.

The names are the same (Square and Final Fantasy) but the creators behind them are mostly different now. This is why you get games like XIII and why the company completely derailed XII and switched directors half way through forcing in useless characters like Vaan and Penelo. They aren't capable of making the games they used to.

It's like the Might No 9 syndrome. The original creator of Mega Man and the director of the early games had no involvement with it and some new guy directed it. Look at how that turned out. This is similar.
