The problem is the game was in development before they announced it. They announced it 3 years ago. You're talking about a game in development for 36+ months. What difference is 2 more gonna make? There's just something wrong and it's troubling.

When this game hits I was expecting scores mostly in the 7 range maybe a few 8s. now I don't know.

I would say Lightning Returns wasn't good and that's a recent game in the series.

that's a good point. i thought that was useless and lightning wasn't an interesting enough character to build a FF spin off with.

i wonder if the shift to more CGI made them sacrifice on other areas like more open world, magic and summons. i really enjoyed the linear FF games like 10 and 13 but the last FF game that left a mark on RPG and gaming was 9. i hope they hit with 15. i've been fiending for a classic JRPG game lately.

Keep in mind that Witcher 3 the GOAT...took 3 years to make...Three years...from an indie company. Its taken Square, ten, just to start releasing the FF7 remake...either these are going to be the biggest FF's ever, or these guys are horrible at developing games.

The fighting system is not better then ffxv though and neither are the graphics
