I actually went with 8 and I’m really fukking with the game but I’m 15 hours in and only just got to Dollet in disc one. I’ve mostly been stocking up on magic and grinding for cards yesterday.
Last night I spent about 2 hours just trying to manipulate the triple triad rules in Dollet.

I like the characters in 8 more overall but the magic/junction system was really bad. I didn't like the weapon system either where you just upgrade them.

The soundtrack was very good too. I follow this guy's you tube has some of the best ff song remakes

Flat out. 9 was for them ole dungeons and dragons cats. I was totally cool with 7's and 8's more modern settings.

But 100% 6 is the best. Period. For me its 6,7,10 as the best games (even though 8 is my personal favorite.)

7 remake (even though it doesn't count) has to go in the rafters too though. Just on the strength that it even happened, let alone be as great as it was.
