Been bumping the OST nonstop since I played this. Those songs with the Edea leit motif are amazing.:wow:
I just want to clarify I don't hate this game. It just has some really annoying mechanics but I do want to give it another playthrough where I just get OP as hell and break the game.:pachaha:

It’s easy af to get real OP real fast with the junction system + triple triad cards. Just 1-hit killing most stuff and all 9999 hp combo limit breaks lol

The best are 6 & 7.

I go back and forth between the two.

I never understood 8's hate, I personally like it better than 9. I like 4 better than 9.
4 was the best story ever, I beat that shiet on Nintendo DS.

Just beat FF9. It started off slow but it started to really pick up towards Disc 2. It was the weakest of all the FF games I’ve played so far (7, 8, X, Rebirth, Remake). Soundtrack was the weakest too but it had some really good songs. That ending was abs beautiful though. Glad I wasn’t spoiled.:mjcry:

I’ll definitely be picking up the Remake when it drops on Day 1.:myman:

Oh and tell me why I spent the entire game with my phone next to me looking up what all different abilities did, not realizing there was a help menu the entire time.:snoop: I was pissed off thinking how the hell did they make a game and not put explanations of all the abilities.:what::mjlol:

Glad you were able to find a groove and finish it. I just wanted to make sure @Gizmo_Duck saw the bolded.

Agreed, people say it is underrated when it is actually overrated imo.

FF8 was my first Final Fantasy game, so it will always hold as special place in my heart. Breaking the game actually makes it more fun, playing through it normally is boring. (Try doing a low level game, where you try to level up as little as possible. It's fun as fück.)

There's nothing like getting Squall's ultimate weapon on Disc 1 and dog-walking every boss up to and including Omega Weapon. :ahh:

Didn't play OG FF7 until a couple months ago. I get why people were losing their minds at the time but I was playing the game like :unimpressed:

Not saying it wasn't good--it was--but after playing a bunch of games inspired by it, playing FF7 felt like hustling backwards.

Played FF9 earlier this year and liked it. Probably the best battle system of the PS1 era. Story was much darker than I expected.

Vivi is the GOAT. :mjcry:

My favorite FF overall of the ones I've played is definitely FFX.

Story :wow:

Characters :wow:

Gameplay :wow:
Grinding is actually fun :wow:

The only thing I mostly didn't fück with are some of the Celestial Weapons and Dark Aeons. Fück I look like dodging 200 lightning bolts :heh:

Plus if you know what you're doing, you can customize four-slot weapons into Celestial Weapon equivalents or better (they just can't ignore defense).

My only regret about X is that it has voice acting. I would have truly been able to love it if Tidus was mute lol. As much as I enjoyed it when it dropped, it’s the most difficult for me to go back and play. It’s stuck in a weird place of being very advanced for its time but too dated for my grown mind to suspend disbelief (not story or graphics, but the navigating the world.). I can go back and play all the pre X final fantasies just fine, for whatever reason. X and 12 just feel like shyt when I play.

7 is still my favorite followed by 8. I never really cared for 9 too much, but played it twice. I really hope 6 gets a remake/reimaging someday….

:pacspit:
And all the 8 haters still jealous 25 years later that Squall did his thing, across time and space, covered in the finest custom Avirex leathers, surround by the baddest FF hoes in the series. Meanwhile your favorite protagonists are assed out in Fashionova bodysuits, and gently used Brahma steel toe’s.

Yeah the choice acting never bothered me much. The only distracting thing was hearing Tom Kenny's voice (SpongeBob SquarePants) and John DiMaggio's voice (Bender from Futurama).
