I shot ya? and you always do this where someone has to be shot down in order for someone else to rise:russ: If P didn't get on another posse cut and outshine everyone, he must not be one of the greatest. That's silly breh. Especially since who outshines who is always going to be subjective. It's not a crime if he got outshined by Nas breh:mjlol: half the game does and has been for 20 years. and I'd say he and meth came out even on extortion

i'm not tryna put him down, i just don't see why so many ppl put him on a pedestal. gotta make sure the history books stay accurate. :yeshrug:

Yeah see I can't be objective about this but I'll try lol. I disagree. 4:21 is probably his most well rounded album and he talks about a lot there. Same with blackout 2 and anything else he's done. But on the other hand, meth had never been a topic dude. He's clever and likes to be ill

agreed. mef is about hype tracks.

plus pound for pound he got the ilest flow ever.

ever.

That's the smartest thing you've said breh. :myman: Meth is the definition of water on a track. Whatever the track is doing he will do it. He doesn't force it he doesn't beat it into submission. The dude is just the purest definition of what a rapper is

Yeah I think there was a rawness method lost at some point. I don't know for sure but it seemed like he was just going thru the motions on many tracks after the 90s ended with some bright spots here and there. Still one of my favorites just lost interest in his music.

Well the pedestal comes with a caveat tho. A time period. History will say that he was one of the illest from an era which he was but it'll also say once that era ended, so did he.

Well check out his work post t2000 man. I haven't been disappointed yet minus tical 0:francis: that's a piece of shyt. But even then, one of the few gems on it helped me get into college so :russ: I owe a lot to meth

Nas
Diplomats/Cam

I think Nas is the GOAT. My favorite era ever was when Cam and the Dips were popping.

I loved Jay for a long time. Now I hate that nikka, and he really only has one classic album, and two good to great albums.

I have 4:21, copped it first day. I just don't hear the rawness no more, and I think that's what I miss from him. But I'll revisit his shyt again.either that or maybe he just became obsolete in a sense. That mighth be the wrong word. I was a huge meth fan at one point. Top 5 during wu tang forever era.

His 2nd verse on Hell on Earth is god level shyt

Homie can rhyme shyt with shyt for the rest of his life that verse alone makes him a legend

His performance on hell on earth as a whole is godly breh. Put still shinin on and tell me that shyt doesn't make you want to get open

I'll agre he's lost some of that rawness but that's to come with age. He's still nice but he's not "still gritty style still foul criminal" anymore. Blackout 2 had a lot of that and he represented

Thought it was gonna be limited it to film/movie rappers like Ali G or Krazy Eyes Killa.

#1 is Grandaster B, Bud Bundy
close second is NWH (Fear of a Black Hat)
