"Mission Impossible", easily. I actually watched "Rogue Nation" for the first time a week ago, liked it a lot.

The first two Alien movies are classic but after that it fell off a cliff. The "MI" movies (mostly) get better as the series goes on. And "Fallout" looks great.

It’s flat to me. I love 1, so 2 was a huge drop off for me. 3 is fine but it just feels so tv, and not in a good way. Like there’s nothing objectionable about it in anyway. It gets to Ethan as a person and gives some real stakes for him and unlike @StraxStrax i think Hoffman is perfect. But it always feels lacking to me and I think it’s the energy and direction from behind the camera. If I compare it to another JJ directed movie, Star Trek, Trek has that energy and feels live and has a momentum to it that MI3 doesn’t have. And I think it’s because he was still figuring out what a JJ Abrams movie was. Whereas De Palma and Woo knew who they were and what their movies were about and what their voice was
I think mi3 with jj not knowing who he was is to it’s benefit. Once he figured out who he was,a hack who confuses homage with talent,it was downhill from there.

I've only seen one MI. Hate to make an uninformed decision. :hubie:

Aliens been aging like shyt after the first 2:francis:MI been fire and I really liked Ghost Protocol. Rogue Nation with that water scene:whoo:

I keep thinking about this. Maybe Alien shouldn't be a franchise. I do know it was never built to go beyond the first movie and then Cameron had an idea for it that took off so it became a franchise accidentally, but it's not really built for longterm storytelling

All films are included for me to be fair. MI is just chugging along and the Prometheus era has been:hhh:
