I'm biased here since I've only seen MI movies. I think the first three so I went with those. Don't know if I'm missing anything with alien but that was before my time. I only know it had Sigourney Weaver and there was something about alien vs predator.

Yes, you are missing something breh. Do yourself a favor and peep Alien and Aliens. That's really all you need. Being before your time is no excuse when we got DVD, blu ray, and digital video, and other ways of seeing things. Alien is a landmark in sci-fi and horror, one of Ridley's best movies, and any horror flick in space has essentially bit Alien for the past 40 years

personally, I think I'd like MI more if they went with someone else than Cruise. I've only seen MI 1, 2, GP..and while the action was dope overall...just couldn't get w/ Cruise as the main guy. :yeshrug:
M:I didn't get good until the 3rd one.

I really like M:I 3 through 5; but I gotta go with Alien. The first 2 are classics; don't care about the rest of 'em.

I got Aliens on this one. MI, never got into it. Sci-fi and horror is more my shyt and Alien, I got personal bias for. I grew up with horror movies and this shyt was the first one to have me shook as a child.

Plus when we having our MKX game nights and I be on a win streak my nephew always pick Alien trying to fukk it up. fukk Alien.

We got a love/hate thing. :to: It's deep and complicated .

MI has one bad movie (MI3) while Alien has 2-3 films good out of 8. Also Ghost Protocol is a top 5 action movie this century.

Timeout. MI3 is worse than MI2?

Philip Seymour Hoffman in that role might be one of the worst casting I've ever seen. I can see what they were going for but man, do they fail.
I've always enjoyed MI2.

I’d say MI2 is bad while MI3 is just flat, which actually may be worse. I’d rather watch a bad movie than a boring one

It’s like I’m in bizzaro world. Mi3 the worst? On what planet?

Mi3 was when the franchise finally started being good
It’s flat to me. I love 1, so 2 was a huge drop off for me. 3 is fine but it just feels so tv, and not in a good way. Like there’s nothing objectionable about it in anyway. It gets to Ethan as a person and gives some real stakes for him and unlike @StraxStrax i think Hoffman is perfect. But it always feels lacking to me and I think it’s the energy and direction from behind the camera. If I compare it to another JJ directed movie, Star Trek, Trek has that energy and feels live and has a momentum to it that MI3 doesn’t have. And I think it’s because he was still figuring out what a JJ Abrams movie was. Whereas De Palma and Woo knew who they were and what their movies were about and what their voice was
