Film Room GOAT Gallery First Entry Thread: The Warriors

Based on a discussion we had in that Poster of the year/WOAT thread, felt like the beginning of the week (and my birthday) would be a good time to start this up. Unless someone can come up with a better name, I'm going with GOAT Gallery right now.

For anyone who missed the discussion, I had an idea for the Film Room to make our own hall of fame; decide which movies get in and which movies get out based on votes. These would be the flicks the majority of the sub forum agree on are beyond reproach. Any flick you want can be nominated and we've got a week to vote on them. But there should be discussion too. Argue the merits of the flick or the shyt you don't like about it. Why does it work? Why doesn't it?

For the first entry, let's start with something that's not as easy as The Godfather or Goodfellas: Walter Hill's The Warriors

no bullshyt, my uncle used to know Roger Hill. I never met him.
i think i appreciated this movie more when the video game came out.
movie was scary as hell to me when i was younger!

That's one thing I was gonna say.

I can't think of a sitcom in the past 20 years that ran for more than 2/3 seasons without referencing this.

You could make a YouTube supercut that'll probably be 20 minutes long with every "come out and plaaaaaaay" reference.

Oh shyt my bad. Damn man that's a good look. I knew a lot of the guys in the movie were actual gang members and local actors but I didnt know they went that local for the head. Props to them.

I need to finish that damn game smh
