See. I agree Goodfellas is the better film, but talking about Casino like it's Diet Goodfellas ain't a good comparison either. They only thing both have in common are 2 actors and the fact it's a mob movie.

It’s the same basic movie with the same basic themes tho. It’s a lesser version of it by that definition alone.
What's an all time great film though? The Birds? Star Wars? Taxi Driver? "Children Of Men"?

Yeah I’d say those would be “all time greats”...the idea being if you looked at a list of classic movies you’d see one of those.

The Deer Hunter :scusthov:
EXTREMELY slow movie. It's unbelievable.

Some people hold Mean Streets in high regard but that movie was 2 hours of absolutely nothing. It's like when a famous rapper's demo tape leaks to me, meaning that it mainly gets props due to what came after (Taxi Driver, Goodfellas, Casino, etc), and you can start to see the development of style, but on it's own, it's terrible.

Blade Runner is another one that nearly put me to sleep. Couldn't finish it.

Been awhile since I seen it but wasn't the beach a tourist location for the town?
It is. And the mayor didn’t tell anyone it was a shark. Brody wanted to make a big announcement and mayor mccheese was like :whoa: “let’s not fukk up our money during the Fourth of July” so it wasn’t until the shyt hit the fan did he then decide to close the beach. Once Brody called him the mayor of shark city

I read the thread title wrong somehow. reads CLASSIC MOVIES YOU DON'T LIKE.

NOT which classic movie is overrated. Specifically classics you don't like period.

Yeah you read it right. Don’t know why it’s so hard around these parts :russ:

Stop talking shyt about mean streets. It is a movie about nothing, just dudes doing low level street shyt. Wasn't supposed to be some epic crime tale. Movie is pretty damn hilarious if you pay attention.
