take your fukkin' wack ass out of here ..

nikka please

Gravity wouldn't be shyt if it wasn't TECHNICALLY brilliant, but just like Avatar it had a basic, cliched plot with average acting.

Whiplash- great performances, but SOC also had just as great performances from the principle cast. Creed had EXCELLENT performances from MJB and Stallone

The Intouchables- Driving Mr Phillipe. fukk outta here with that cliche "helpful Negro" bullshyt :stopitslime:

whiplash was fukkin intense, great acting and the placement of the drum practicing/playing/perfection and its reflection of character appeal..terrific, blew my ears and mind at times.

gravity..the technical experience was just out of the damn norm..i really felt i was in fukkin' space..that was enough..beautiful and mesmerizing. I want to see it again at IMAX, but i accept your argument with this..

Creed..i let you off, this film was good and will hold it's own..but it did not stand out like some great piece In my books.

Compton..this was a biopic but was quite of a let down.. i wanted something more but they had to tackle a damn time line without going over time and keeping it to a structure..it felt like skits edited together at time's..

mostly agree, but i will say i will give films that have great technical achievement a pass on average acting. even still, only saw gravity once and that was it. had no real inclination to see it again.

Too many ducktales in straight outta Compton for it to be a biographical film. Creed is an all around great movie about following your dreams and working hard to get your goals.

SOC was 2 hours of Dre and Cube jerking each other off

Creed was Wallace's best movie yet

Creed and I honestly think both MBJ and Stallone will get nominated for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor for the Oscars

breh its gotten award love so far. don't be surprised if the prognosticators are wrong and it gets some nods. we got a week or a week and a half until the noms come out.

I don't think Creed is being dismissed as much as its a crowded ass field this year

Noms come out jan 14

Doubt mbj gets a nod. In that category, the nominees are likely to be the same as the SAG nominees. That branch of the academy is 25% of the total members.

Stallone didn't get a non either, but I feel like he can slip in there this year off name recognition(especially with non sag members).

*BTW I would love to see mbj nominated so I hope you're right.

and most biopics arent 100% fact, who are we kidding. holding that against compton is silly.

That's what happens when you're alive when the events take place.(or not far off) You know some of the narrative and think you know even more than you do.

nikkas wasn't born when Jake LaMotta was slapping his wife or the coal miner's daughter was on the come up, so they can't really say shyt.

Movie was still dope to me though.

i took my girl to see creed last week and it was so good she wanted to watch all the rocky 1 and 2 to get the creed history. amazing film. the only thing i could gripe about was the love story with his neighbor. other than that, it was my fav movie of 2015.
