Yeah, you can't be right all the time, but some of his ratings were :snoop:

Roger Ebert's Worst Reviews

Like:

The Godfather: Part II 3/4
Blue Velvet 1/4
Reservoir Dogs 2.5/4
Die Hard 2/4
The Good, The Bad & The Ugly 3/4
Once Upon A Time In The West 2.5/4
Anaconda 3.5/4

etc.

It's not about being "right", it's about being honest.

I would much rather a critic "miss" on some movies, like this list, than just plays follow the leader and echoes popular sentiment all the time.

Siskel & Ebert >>>>>>>>>>> Rotten Tomatoes

Everyone act like Rotten Tomatoes is the end all be all of reviews when that joint didn't even get popular until recently. Siskel before his passed in the late 90's and Ebert been dropping gems for years. Of course you didn't always agree but it was the passion behind the words that made it more real than any critics in the game. I mean they made the whole "Thumbs Up/Down" apart of Pop Culture. Before the internet, there was Siskel and Ebert at the movies. Today you have so many people giving reviews but they don't have the credibility that Siskel and Ebert had. Siskel & Ebert name is on more home video boxes than any critics in history. Salute Ebert you will be missed. To all my 70/80's babies, we lost a Legend. With that said, I won't ever give them a pass for giving "Speed 2" two thumbs up, LOL. Still got love though:

"When the movie’s director responded by mocking Ebert’s weight, Ebert said, “It is true that I am fat, but one day I will be thin, and he will still be the director of The Brown Bunny.""
