Its like a new form of torture. they have all these ill characters that people are hungry to see but we gotta watch this "tea time for two" type bullsh*t with pretentious azz Margret hogging every f*cking minute of the show. Its almost like we need a "Free The Lox" type movement with Boardwalk Empire. But instead of the Lox we'll put "Free the gully characters of BE" or better yet "Free Capone and dem" movement. They can't breath, they're litteraly suffocated and choked out by Margret and Nuck's bullsh*t storylines.

I think the crown of best HBO show is safe with The Sopranos or The Wire depending which you think is the better show.

Show was good til I watched breaking bad. Now this sh!t is a snooze fest.

the problem boardwalk empire has is they have 20 different story lines going but are focused on the least interesting ones and the main character is just loitering in his own show.

Honestly, no one is saying " I can't wait to watch boardwalk empire to see what Margaret is doing this week" yet she takes up 30 minutes of screen time with that confused look on her face while nucky takes up the other 20 doing absolutely nothing mixed in with some simping.

Meanwhile you got Capone, rothstiene,lucky and lansky,chalky,van Alden,harrow,etc. The people you actually want to see popping up every 4th episode

imagine how wack the show would be if they didnt even have the rep of capone, rothstein, and luciano to fall back on

their characters arent even fleshed out well by the writers but the audience knows their history, back-story to fall back on... without that, the show is D-level at best. for instance if they had regular names in the show (not based off real life mobsters)... theyd be wack chacrters too

True...just shows that the writing for the show is weak as fukk. The only good parts this season is based on real characters and events. The best the writers can come up with on their own is margaret's wack ass storylines and nucky's simping. And they filling up 90% of episodes with that trash. Gyp is the only one remotely interesting they did on their own

All of us who said the show would fall off without Jimmy were right.

Season 2 was easily the best.
