I have seen plenty of wrestling and i think he is the apex of what a wrestler is, can adopt styles and is decent on the mike, it is not his fault he wrestled the best and made them better also. All his peers cite him as being the top guy and i agree.

But alot of his peers are WWE suck ups and never were among the elite of Japan and also can't speak on Benoit. So there's always underlying factors with that kind of thing. Jericho used to praise Cripple H all the time and now all of a sudden he brings up him "burying him" during his first run after being asked outright about that for YEARS and him denying. An agenda is an agenda.

And Michaels himself has outright said that a match with the Rock would be the biggest match possible in his career and no one likes to talk about that either:laugh: So it's all nitpicking and agenda based..stuff like that.

Okay you getting crazy, the Rock would be the biggest match of HBK career only because he is a cross over superstar, HBK would have to do the heavy lifting in the match, now to be honest the Rock is superior on the mic, no question and is a bigger "name" but you are saying the Rocks talent matches HBK in the ring?:childplease:

Not crazy. Go look it up. I never said the talent about matches. If you want to get technical about all of that stuff, there's a reason people hate on Hogan and Rock types. Crowds are into their matches more than "workers" and top ring specialists. Trying to count ring performance as some measuring stick when historically they couldn't cut it on top is an excuse. Always has been. The little man complex if you will. People DESPISE Goldberg on the internet but the guy was bigger than Michaels ever was and that's why he doesn't have to work or come back for weird shyt. He made a grip of money.

Now you getting crazy, the guy made at least a million per year on his last run, he headlined Mania 3 times during that period and co headlined the rest of them for a big bonus, not to mention the money he made of the DX merchandise they pushed, you acting like he made Melina money or Chris Masters type money, he comes back for a mania payday and because he loves the company, HHH made sure he is set for life and he has that outdoor show. He not starving like Kid Kash, Lil Guido and sandman now.

I never said he made Melina money. I don't even care what kind of money he made. He damn sure wasn't making WCW high end money though.

IDK that WWE Merchandise machine gives them great commision checks. Outlaws said theirs was 250,000 each so i can only imagine how much HBK & HHH checks looking like :whoo:

I don't think HBK is the greatest ever in the ring, and I think it's arguable that Scott Hall is bigger in history and more over than HBK ever was at certain points.

With that said, if you really think Scott Hall was a better worker than HBK you are incapable of being honest, with yourself or at least to TSC.

No one was touching those Goldberg/Sting/NwO checks until Austin and Rock turned the industry upside down and had shows/PPVs/video games named after them

No worse than what JBL and Jericho did to him :heh:

But I always thought it was assumed that people name him the greatest wrestler in the WWE just because he set the style they use today.

Outside of that though

Partially this (It's actually a combination of Michaels and Austin, with a burgeoning ROH style influence in main events as of late), but it's also partially because he really was as good as a pure, technical North American-style wrestler got save for Bret Hart (if you prefer one over the other in the ring, I don't care. There's not a wrong choice).

Very good to great workrate, great showman, knew how to work the crowd pleasing spots, and underrated on the mic. I think the praise goes into overkill at times (both here and by WWE), but it's not completely unwarranted.

I have no idea why certain people here hate him so much, save for the zealous stans (and, as with The Rock and his zealous stan, that shouldn't enter judgments as to whether you like him or not).

May i ask why you hate the GOAT so much, i mean you take your hatred personally, did he ever do something to you in real life? You never acknowledge his in ring work, when this is just what most fans respect about him. dd he take your money, swindle you or someone you know? I like the Rock but his in ring work is not touching the GOAT, i saw GI-JOE because he was good in it, you take your hate of the Greatest in ring performer of all time too far.

No. He walked in on his mom pleasuring herself to this

NWO turned the industry upside down they made it 'cool' to be a rasslin fan again. Then austin got hot and he saved the wwf with mcmahon. Not rocky he had nothing to do with saving the company, did he go on to great things yes, nobody is denying that but rocky didnt turn the business upside down he took the ball when business was hot and he ran and was truly successful but he didnt change the business there is no spinning that
