I'm sure Goddard will try to make a good film, I just doubt this works. More importantly it's unnecessary. It'll probably get a short theater run, do meh, and then become more slop for streaming pigs.

Let's be real:
Matrix
Animatrix
Reloaded
Revolutions
Resurrection

Reloaded was an awful sequel...

I skipped the last one.. glad we get a fresh take with new writers and directors.. the matrix universe is prime for tv and movies and games. Just needs that fresh start
I went into the last one with low expectations and still hated it. Let it die
The first song in the end credits was like the ultimate “shytty movie” song :mjlol: like some movies you can just listen to the credits and get a feel if the movie was alright or not. That song gave it away it was trash :mjlol:

As someone who didn't think Matrix Resurrections wasn't as bad as most people made it out to be (the actual story wasn't bad, the plot was), the movie industry has run out of ideas. It's in the dumpster and AI is only going to make it worse.
Hollywood has plenty of ideas. Most are locked away in a vault and protected by insane copyright laws. The copyright laws stops people from creating films that are even too similar. For example, WB aint never releasing those old Speedy Gonzales cartoons, but they will sue your ass if they thought your Hispanic stereotyped mouse cartoon was too similar. I think IPs should go into public domain after 50 years.

I'm aware of the litigation aspect.

It's my belief they don't want to try anything unless the director is solid or it already has a pre-established fan base.

Sucks for us. TV has been good though for the last 20 years, but I feel that is about to dry up too.
