Nsx in the OP is ugly as fukk :scusthov:

:takedat:

In terms of looks, the 348 looks dated as fukk, both outside & in. Ive had my nsx for 9 years (80k+ miles) next month & the only expensive thing I had to do maintenance wise was the clutch, valve adjustments timing belt & water pump. The clutch had to be changed because this was my first stick shift car & I burned the clutch out. The valve adjustments, timing belt & water pump were past due 10 year scheduled maintenance. So lets say i knew how to drive stick, i really didn't have to chance shyt. The only parts that actually died on me was the starter (took it out myself & had it rebuilt for $60, Acura wanted $900 + labor :mjlol: ) & some part thats somewhere between the clutch pedal & the reservoir ( parts were like $200 max)

Oil changes included I spent just about $9-10k on maint. in 9 years. Performance, visual upgrades & shyt is another story :wow:

I still think it's a cool looking car :ehh:

Especially lowered, with some nice wheels...

However...

A new clutch for one of these would probably run you about $3,000 not including labor :dead:

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
Ive borrowed both before and i will first tell you to check out nsxprime.com and ferrarichat.com for more home work.

Everyone wont agree with me but the truth is that the nsx is the better car for various reasons ill type up when i get home (on the phone now). Get the ferrari if you want it for the name but prepare for ferrari problems and money

Beat me to it.

And NSX parts are readily available due to aftermarket enthusiasts (even OEM parts can be copped at a local honda parts dept.).

Honestly, an oil change alone on the 'Rari would discourage most (gotta drop the engine... i don't know aboot older Italian exotic jumpoffs, but the recent ones oil changes will run you 15-25k. It's not even worth driving a lot even if you had a bazzillion dollars because of the hassle to maintain, imagine if you just a regular IT cat :ohlawd:).

Plus, the NSX's are accessible in terms of drivability (heard they feel like Type R's).

Most mechanics and body shops aren't about that life of repairing 'Raris (aluminum bodys require techs to be certified, that shiit ain't a walk in the park).

But the 'Rari gets mucho head turns.

You'd be breakin' more necks than TNS.

My whole clutch job was around $2500. For that 348 its around $3-4k, depending on if it has the single or double clutch (single is cheaper).

Another point for the Rari is that you know the first owner babied it and wiped it down with a diaper every night.

Most NSX's will have damn near quadruple the mileage and people put their foot in them more often.

I don't know, I'm grasping at straws here. There's no logical reason to buy any Ferrari. :skip:

348 :camby:

NSX is the car that made Ferrari step its game up. Not to mention, NSX is every bit as high tech and high performance as the 348, but with like 1/10th the maintenance costs and 10x the reliability. Its a no brainer, and I love Ferraris

This, all the way. I am a big Ferrari fan but that NSX has my vote any day. Let's not forget that Honda made that engine and if anybody knows reliability and maintenance cost Honda has almost no competition.

I'd cop the Ferrari...if I even had the money to consider, practicality and maintenance aren't even entering my head.

It's a friggin Ferrari!

Personally, I'm hoping to have this amongst several other wheels in my garage one day...
