Out of all the young, articulate lawyers coming out of ivy league institutions why do these cases always seem to get stuck with these "Better Call Saul" types?

I'm certain its a gang of qualified, brilliant young lawyers(black or white mind you) who would have taken this case damn near pro bono...They could have started an online fund for their lawyer fees and received donations from across the globe...I don't know who is in their ear right now, but the defense attorney from the Martin case isn't a good look at all.....
