Real talk brehs
I've been listening to Tariq's ustreams he had lately
And I 100% agree about building a black economic base just them asians do
I think there's many others who agree as well but are stuck at exactly "how"
I was talking with my homeboys last night about all of this
and they said it seems like it would be impossible to try and change the mindset of black people
to: buy from only each other and only support black businesses (or try to), get off government assistance, really help each other etc. etc.
But I agree. When you have you OWN shyt and a community working together like the asians...
We would be unstoppable!
Downtown there's an asian village where all the asian shops and homes are
Nice people and when I go down there you can feel and tell that they are ONE unit
It's a peaceful little community, all helping each other and shyt
So, I'm just trying to figure out how one would even begin to make this happen...

Try to get a open discussion going where you guys can talk about ways to establish employment and business for blacks. I was trying to get folks out here to do this, which is to have a weekly homework help program. Where you hire top black HS/college students to help elementary school kids with their homework.
I don't know where you live, but I'm willing to bet to get such a program in place(weekly HW help program) running on let's say a Saturday for 3 hrs, would cost no more than 3k AT WORST to implement(hire 4 tutors and pay them 12/hr to work 3 hours, so to pay the tutors per month would be about $600, the rent for the space wouldn't cost more than $2k). So you need 3k to establish it, if you have 10 people in your group, that's $300/person.
It doesn't have to be a tutor program, I'm just listing a way we can start to employ our community.
