Also when I was walking at about 58th street, this tourist with a really thick accent runs up to me from the sidewalk and asks what we were doing. She asked what the protests was about and I told her that a black kid was killed by a cop and she immediately knew what I was talking about. Anyway, she proceeded to tell me about how back in her home (Brazil) they were also protesting the murder of black men and the injustice about three months ago (if any Brazilians know what she was talking about, I'd be happy to know more about it) She thanked me for what we were doing and told me to not stop. I didn't know how to reply so I just smiled, said thank you, and left.

Crazy how this tragedy has creeped into nearly every corner of the world.

If I can find it, but yea... when this shyt happened back in August I saw pictures of people in Brazil protesting against police brutality while holding up Mike Brown signs. I just saw the picture today but I can't seem to find it again.

Damn, I moved to Florida but this is like 15 mins from where I used to live. The area is filled with colleges and a lot of leftists who are anti war, anti-authoritarianism, understand white privilege..whenever I've bern to noho, I'd always see a small group of college kids protesting .. It's not really liberal either. Area is Too leftist for the liberals.

If that many people protest for justice for Mike Brown, this shyt is another level! I mean, even Trayvon never got this big of a response.
