Economically groups of people who practice can work the machine and have it work for them... You got politicians in your pockets, judges working for your community and lawyers willing to fight cases discounted for their time. Economic power works...
But in order for economic power to work for our people we need cohesion. We need to have something the masses want but keep the money in house for ourselves! we need a strong leadership base who aint about that nonsense. You commit crimes in the community your dealt with. a cop is kills an innocent kid in our community your dealt with... you want to build property in our community our people have first dibs on shops and businesses... the same way they do in flushing and crown heights we need to do for ourselves...
If a majority black owned business coalition decided to form in queens and basically change our shyt for the better i'd get behind it...

The crazy part about it is... For the economic portion to work effectively... The reestablished faith leading to a closer community is what's key. So both of their vantage points actually go hand in hand. Just like people of all races; There's crooked black folk right now that will rob you blind while claiming to help you. So a trust in those communities will allow for more trust among the business owners and patrons.
I will say... Too many black people have their hands in the black hair and cosmetic industry for it to not be more black owned hair & supply stores.
