Schools noawadays are gated with metal detectors and armed cops.
Announcing it while kids are in school is basically announcing it while kids are in jail.

They can put the whole school on lockdown (same as prison) if they feel like it.

my mom was the first person to explain this to me when i was a teenager (i'm 26 now). And It wasn't until our conversation last night about all this shyt happening lately that I've come to that conclusion myself.
