Tell ya one thing. I'm actually kinda surprised dis thread hasn't been moved to da Race Track yet. Usually any thread displaying a certain dosage level of black awareness and esteem gets thrown in dere. :ehh:

they tried to...somebody called them out on it...the mods really would love to do that shyt.

Believe me...there are many posters on this site that would like this story and this very thread to somehow magically go away....

i clicked on a video of rodney king being beaten by the police and the comments were filled with "he deserved it" and other racists ass bullshyt.

I used to try not to read comments from anything that might spark racist rants because it always do but now im like fuk it "I heard worst"

Yeah from bullshyt reportings from news, local newspaper outlets, film that based on a true story filled with fiction (half truths), selective pic/video, and even the government itself.

Also the romanticized portrait of Malcolm x, most black people at that time didn't like him or his ways because he was too radical or "militant". A street dude turn to advocate for the rights of blacks(always had history of black empowerment)...and when he left the nation everybody he was associated with turn his back on him.. stars.boxer.etc.

look what happen to his family its no strong support/help for the ppl who fought for "black power" from the black community as a whole. After the movement is targeted and broken down.....we forget it and move on leave the pieces

Shyt it wasnt until spike's Malcolm X shed a light (mainstream)on the great man soon finally the most look upon him as a civil rights leader.

You can say the same thing about huey p Newton till this day. I talk to young cats from my area and they think PP/huey was a terrorists/or gang that end up killing each other

We still have political prisoners that fought for out rights at that time still locked up.
