Cliff notes:

1. Officer was driving around on his off-duty security job patrolling in Shaw neighborhood

2. Officer saw 3 guys at Klemm St. and Shaw Blvd, one guy started to run, and one guy said "that's just a security officer"

3. Officer followed guys in his car, then got out of the car and pursued on foot

4. Got into a "physical altercation" with one suspect in a grey hooded sweatshirt

5. Recovered a 9mil. luger from the scene, found ballistic evidence of 3 projectiles from that gun

6. The gun jammed while suspect was shooting at officer

7. An internal review will be conducted

8. Officer thought Vonderrick was strapped because of the way he was running, holding his midsection and not running at full stride

9. Some Ferguson protesters showed up in St. Louis to instigate crowd, marched to Grand Blvd, blocked traffic, damaged police cars

10. Victim was "no stranger to law enforcement"

11. It's "normal" protocol for off duty police officers to wear their uniforms while working private security

12. Chief searched Vonderrick's record and "a few things popped up", even as an adult

13. The police used a "great amount of restraint"

14. The police were there to protect the protesters' rights and to protect the property

15. Eyewitnesses are currently being interviewed

16. Chief is not aware of any video footage of the shooting

17. Police want to be open and transparent, want to "get to the truth"

18. No demonstrators were arrested

19. He may have had a sandwich, but the evidence says suspect had a gun

20. Officer fired his weapon 17 times

21. It's the same conversation that we had in the shooting at Riverview (Kajieme Powell), it's about "openness and transparency"


After all that, my questions are:

• Is the officer going to be put on administrative leave, or does he still get to report to duty, since this happened on his second job?
• What happened to Vonderrick's friends? If the three of them were such a danger, why didn't this officer contact the on-duty police for back up?
• How do you get jumped by a person you are chasing? How can a person "jump out of the bushes and attack" you when YOU are following HIM? (sounds like Zimmerman all over again)
• Are we going to ever find out this officer's name and identity? Or will he be scuttled off into hiding like Darren Wilson?

and for the record, if dude would've beat the breaks off that cop. that entire block would've turned into ferguson (pre sheriffs/high way patrol getting involved..where they were running around looking like an army.) dont be stupid thinking that nonsense. that bully analogy doesnt work vs cops. Now, where did I say what I'M GON do in response to this video (I said that because you are attempting to be literal about MY intentions; my intentions which have not been stated). Re-read my post brethren. The incident has already come and gone. We know damn well it's too late to carry out the aforementioned actions regarding THIS incident. One thing I do know (if you truly are your brother's keeper) is that my statements are what you innately feel deep down. Be honest (that is unless you truly ARE a fukk nygga or a fake ass strategist on urban warfare...I doubt either). You got angry when you saw this. Flat out. All the woulda coulda shoulda shyt is truly in vain. I knew it before I wrote it. People all over the country are posting in this thread and truth be told, posting way more outrageous "solutions" than what I've suggested (again, in HINDSIGHT).

That said, str8 up fam, FOH with that, "Don't be telling what we gon do" type shyt cause it doesn't apply to what I said. if you ain't HERE...As in St. Louis fukking MO, you gon keep posting in this thread from the TEMPORARY comforts of your residence thinking of ways to finesse a situation that requires brute action.

The people of this city who are down for this cause (myself included) are legit willing to die for ours...I could give a fukk what you think....An injustice to US anywhere, is and has always been an injustice EVERYWHERE!

Another note, the latest police account said he had a sweatshirt on. In the still, no sweatshirt.


That footage does prove he did have a sandwich

There is video footage where the manager can see all angles. He didn't have a gun, which is consistent with what witnesses who aren't cops are saying
