The grand jury now has until January 7, 2015 to decide whether or not to charge Darren Wilson with the murder of Mike Brown. They can make a decision soon than that though.

Here’s some more info on the grand jury:

• Grand jury will begin hearing evidence on Aug. 20 in murder of Mike Brown. Darren wilson will have opportunity to testify (x)
• Grand jury might not hear all evidence until mid-October
• Possible outcomes from Grand Jury and DOJ investigation
• The grand jury in the killing of Mike Brown is only meeting once a week and are being treated as co-investigators. Also, legal experts say it’s unlikely that Darren Wilson will be charged with 1st degree murder. 2nd degree murder is possible but also unlikely if he argues that he feared for his life.
• A look at Prosecutor Bob McCulloch. McCulloch has presented 4 cases of a fatal police shooting to a grand jury. 0 indictments. McCulloch’s office also doesn’t keep detailed records. He also defended calling 2 black men shot by cops in 2000 “bums”.

When I was going through my court shyt. My lawyer just kept requesting delays & delays & more delays. He told me in his practice its common that we live in the United States of Amnesia & that after certain events (such as Mike Brown) lawyers strategize to wait & wait until people stop caring.

Once you've got them to this point they'll pretty much take whatever you offer them because they just want to get back to their normal lives...

So while these people have been done wrong & the energy was up a few weeks ago... you can see the "system" just trying to delay everything in hopes people grow apathetic about this..

So I decide to read more on the kid with the toy samurai sword they gun down. Darrien Hunt

He was shot FOUR times in the back. Cop said Hunt attacked him with the toy sword....However

Not to mention from witness’s accounts says he never raised the toy sword or confronted anybody.

Another Brotha killed for a "Toy" when I see tons of people with REAL WEAPONS in stores all over America. Now reports are coming out he was fleeing just like Mike Brown was. Sad.

Grand jury now has until January to decide whether to charge Ferguson officer

The grand jury considering whether Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson should be criminally charged in the shooting death of unarmed teenager Michael Brown now has until Jan. 7 to decide.

The extension of the grand jurors’ term of duty does not necessarily mean the job will take that long, officials said. But it could.

There is significant apprehension, especially along the West Florissant Avenue business strip hit by looting and rioting after the killing of Brown on Aug. 9, that violence might return if the grand jury does not send Wilson to trial for something. Some activists have threatened as much.

A St. Louis County grand jury usually sits for four months, a period that for the current panel expired last week. State law provides for a term of up to six months, which moves the date to November. On Wednesday, Circuit Judge Carolyn Whittington issued an order adding 60 days more.
