Most of the time in murder trials the DA decides if there's enough probable cause for an indictment, this was sent to the grand jury for 2 reasons. 1. Because it involves a cop & 2. The DA is trying to get away from this with clean hands.
There so much police corruption in that city that if the GJ doesn't come back with a indictment then the DA will say "it's not my fault, I presented the evidence, the citizens said NO officer wilson didn't murder him". And that will pretty much be the end of it.
I think if this officer goes to trial & gets convicted with serious time then it will be a landmark case that may be a spark to change some race relations in this country. The DA was saying maybe by mid-october the GJ may come back with a decision but I think it'll be much sooner than that, I think it will be very subtle.
The think that really makes me angry is people everyday all over this country get charged & sunt to prison strictly off of eye witness testimony. You have 4 independent witnesses who don't know each other & all have very similar accounts & none of them point to brown as the aggressor but you have pundits on CNN, racists cacs & c00ns who say "well eye witness testimony isn't reliable". Now that there's so much heat coming on this officer now the narrative has changed, I find that so frustrating.
People keep saying holder this, holder that. The truth is civil right violations are very hard to prove in court & it's very long & could drag out forever. Remember holder said charges would be brought against GZ, after the verdict we never heard about it again. The governer & mayor wouldn't remove the prosecutor so now EVERYTHING is up the the grand jury, now it's just a waiting game & everyone is uneasy...
