It doesn't work like that...A spec ops guy feeds into intel, a conventional guy feeds into intel, and all the other forms of intel feed in as well to help paint a picture....A piece here and a piece there and some planning methodology is how the picture is painted....I also saw a lot of BS and half truths in his youtube but I can't get into it but a lot of the actually military cats especially those who worked intel or joint ops before or worked in planning cells no he was spitting some BS. But he had some truth as well.

yea.. alot of folks are acting defeated.. its far from over.. not to mention, them folks in Ferguson havent been sitting online all-day/night like us.. their probably tired.. as anyone should be.. doesnt mean their gonna stop fighting.. for all we know, they could be strategizing some other sh!t behind the scenes..

Knife is a deadly weapon and at close range the effectiveness of a gun becomes less and less. They did the right thing. Tackling him? Not very smart to try and tackle a pissed off guy with a knife from he front. Baton? No guarantee it's gonna stop him either. Taser? He was wearing a hoodie, what if the prong missed and didn't subdue him? There's very little that can go wrong with your semi auto. That shyt is gonna drop anybody if you squeeze off 5 or more rounds.They're dropping like a bag of rocks.

You just don't take a risk like that when the guy isn't listening to verbal commands and very well could try and stab your shyt up.

Yes I am...I can tell you some stuff....Intelligence is operation driven meaning and a continual process and interagency...From CIA/NRO/NSA/NGIC/ and so on...It's so many differing forms of intel no one is the master or in charge of it some just have more access than others do...

An Intel guy is never the decision maker of an operation...An operations guy is...

What you see in the video on youtube from the policeman is the ramblings of a mad man with some half-truths here and there.

Yes Green Berets to train indigenous populations to protect/defend themselves...All of SOCOM has its unique skills...they are the scapel.

But intel is collects all of the time some is pertinent and some isn't it's a tedious boring job. And when I say tedious I mean meticulous to the point that it seems like you aren't doing anything depending on the level you work at the higher the level the bigger the picture the more broad the intel.

Do you regret going intel? Cause like you said, I've also heard from other people it's like a desk job and is pretty boring. Also what does an enlisted intelligence guy actually do versus the commissioned intelligence guys?

The police brutalized protestors and shot tear gas into quiet neighborhoods and people are wondering why everything has "calmed down".. It's simple. The right to assemble was taken away with brute force. So my guess is about six weeks will go by and then we'll find out if the cac is charged. If he's not, I think everyone will head to the streets again and there will be bloodshed.

Yes. and No regret.

I started out as a 19D and than became a 35F...But I was already a SSG when I re-classed.....At the lower levels your boots on ground but same as anything as you progress you get further away from the ground.

The main people putting together products or collecting are SPC and below...A SGT will check there product to make sure formatting is right and that they can explain what they are seeing....From that point an Assistant S2 Officer will review everything to prepare to brief the actual S2 Officer who will than brief the Commander....A Senior NCO is generally worried about Senior NCO stuff like making sure the section is running efficiently.

Higher levels the only thing that changes is the rank and experience of the analyst and the AS2, S2, and Cdr...

It can be an office job, or a field job....

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I was looking into that as an MOS but I dunno anymore.
