I watched this again about 5-6 months or so ago after coming in from work and getting blazed. I enjoyed listening to the conversation Denzel and his friend had when they was talking about “the walking blues”.

Made me realize all those different blues songs I’ve learned and listened to, when they talk about walking, it’s really about how a man had a hard time settling down with one woman, so he kept moving, and people would say he had “the walking blues”.

Going from place to place. Like a rolling stone.

Stuff you don’t really hear people talk about anymore and most people really don’t get the concept in general depending on their own connection to the music and history.

It’s basically musical history and context that should be passed down, would have been passed down from musician to musician but because of the lack of support for genres like the blues and the lack of newer, younger performers, it’s almost lost knowledge.
