Dynamite also doing good ratings again.

I'm not a fan of their product. But I have to give them props....from a business perspective they've been an unqualified success. They ain't going away anytime soon and only seem to be growing.

I'm not into the WWE/AEW stan wars, which i'm sure is what this thread will turn into, but WWE struggling to sell out MSG, ratings still declining, cancelled house shows, wheeling out Goldberg again....feels like they're going the other direction.

Things might get real spooky these next few years :jbhmm:

At this point, AEW is about all I bother to try to keep up with on a weekly basis. They're nowhere close to perfect, but at least for me the difference is that they're on a decent run where the show's just fun to watch. They take some time to build up characters they think they see something in, and occasionally make an effort to give the people what they want to see without being shytty about it. Could see why they would be successful.

If you saw Smackdown last night, you might understand the reason.

They are peddling the same garbage as usual, only with a brighter titantron and more graphics on screen. Crowd started dying after the first match. Short, boring re-matches ending with roll-ups. No wonder why I see posts in the AEW threads saying "This match is too long, that guy is a jobber", because that's the mentality WWE has engraved on them. Unless it is one of the same 10 names that have been on top for the past 10 years, everybody else is a "jobber" and don't deserve to have longer matches.

Tuned out after Cesaro vs Otis. "Hey, this should be an interesting clash of styles", I thought, and then they had a match shorter than their entrances. "Bu...bu... but they are building a story". Sure thing. I'll bet the results from future shows will prove otherwise, as has been for years.

Jesus, the E can’t sell out MSG post-Covid. :picard:

I’m sure they’ll do more numbers, but you would think it would be sold out by now.

The fact that they are doing covid precautions for the garden is the main reason why tickets sales are low.

Either way, they will sell but not as big as they want it to be.

Every other week AEW keeps gaining more and more momentum. I’m not really a huge Stan like that either. But seeing their ratings from last week had me like :whoo: and that was during the NBA FINALS too :ohhh:

Meanwhile Raw keeps breaking records with low ratings every other week. And every week when I’m on Twitter the WWE fans on Twitter keep saying “Ratings don’t matter..”

Knowing DAMN well if the shoe was on the other foot they would be laughing over their grave.

I’m seeing a pattern here and it’s not a good one for Titan Towers :lupe:

At some point, AEW gonna have a show on a Monday night. And i PROMISE you they gonna beat Raw in the ratings.

Now I’m not saying we gonna have a repeat when Bischoff was running things but I’ll tell you this in the words of Mark Twain:

“History doesn’t repeat itself. But it sure does rhyme.”

But aren’t they doing the same where AEW is hosting? I did a quick research and AA Stadium is it NY. It can hold more people than MSG (close to 23k. MSG is about 2k less).
