We want schools made to help our community and insure our children are prepared to compete in this world, we have to create them as a well organized group. Solutions require words and actions, but always remember that actions are always more important than words. What a person says they will do is never as important as what a person actually does. Keep that in mind, and it becomes a lot easier to spot the grifters, shysters, and demagogues.

I guarantee you there were certified black contractors saying "well to do this it has to be up to code, we have to do this first, then we can put up the wall or lighting" and he wasn't trying to hear that. Then years later when he finally got a white contractor they were like "To be up to code we got to do this first, then we can do the wall or lighting" and he was like "ok sir, let's get it done."

Then you have the skilled the ones that can build, design, fix etc, then you have the ones that have pull on the materials side.
Johnson glass will donate 100 windows. And workers from Anderson windows and siding will donate time to install the donated windows. Billy's BBQ will donate 100lb of BBQ chicken and pulled pork to feed both of them. And at the end of the week the god damn project is built done and open to the public they all take a picture together and the Jewish community center thanks it's "partners"
A majority of people will meet you half way. If you already bought the brake pads, calipers and rotors, I'll help you put them on. But I'm not buying all the shyt and putting it on for you. Umar probably wanted the materials and labor free but couldn't get everyone on the same page because he wanted to be HNIC.

Black people donated tons of money to Umar over the years and make up the vast majority of his attendees of his speaking conferences where he also makes money.
Umar has no school accreditation, no list of teachers/faculty/staff, no safety measures, no curriculum, had his initial non-profit status for the school revoked, etc.
Umar should honestly be glad that he has been financially supported as much as he has because there were zero signs that the school was in proper shape to actually be run in a functional manner.
And he never backed away from his proposal to CHARGE for the admission into his school. So, even if your child does get accepted, you STILL have to pay. And the types of parents and single moms Umar was trying to appeal to generally can't afford a fee like that.
But watch conscious brehs who never even followed the whole school fiasco or delve into his record blindly agree with Umar and repeat the "crabs in the bucket" narrative with no full context.
