Those mouth breathers are gonna be the ones inheriting all the govt jobs being moved out of the DMV. Scary thought
They are literally too stupid to do the work. Feds are going to bytch and moan, but most will transfer with their job. If they moved me, I would kick and scream and exhaust all my options, but I would go in the end.

Above the fray.

Education Department employees offered up to $25K to quit before Monday

03/01/25

(CNN) - The Education Department is offering a buyout of up to $25,000 to many of its employees.
An email from the agency’s top human resources official states employees have until Monday at 11:59 p.m. to decide if they want to accept the one-time offer.
The email said the offer is in advance of a “very significant reduction in force.”
Eligible employees include those who have worked for the federal government for at least three years.
They also cannot have received a student loan repayment benefit in the last three years.
The resignations would take effect at the end of the month.
The offer comes as the Republican-controlled Senate is set to vote on the nomination of Linda McMahon as education secretary on Monday.

Also, if you’re a vet (and don’t mind moving to Michigan), their state government has a program that exempts any educational requirement for a job if you have the experience at a certain rank as well.
Gotta link to this ?

Fired workers should consult employment attorneys to see if there are legal & equitable remedies available to them because of this blanket firing. The firings were arbitrary & capricious & with no explanation. It is inherently inequitable & unjust.

Keep in mind Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) that NONE of these people were legally fired! They should ALL get their jobs back. This is going to be a HUGE waste of our tax $ any way it ends up.

☎️ your House Rep & Senators use U.S. Capitol Switchboard: (202) 224-3121.
🗣️Give operator your zip & they will connect you with your elected's office. Make clear you are a constituent.
✏️Write out a concise message BEFORE you call. You can use the same message for all your electeds.

Actually, Mr. Cuban, they deserve more than benefits. They deserve their jobs back, which were illegally taken from them.

May not be a federal worker but I'll ride Tillis's a$$ gladly. I was abandoned by the state of NC after a patient lied and purposefully exposed us to Covid and I never got better (I worked for a state run hospital). It's now more than $700/mo. for me to be on my wife's insurance. Workers need better

How does everyone feel about a gov shutdown? Not only do federal employees have to RTO fulltime and worry about their jobs being cut due RIF's. Now they have to worry about not getting a paycheck. And the 'essential' ones have to still show up in the office while not getting paid.

we're still teleworking
also the thing about being "essential," is if you're such a critical employee, why would your job be at risk?
If this administration can just cut nuclear safety experts and air traffic controllers on a whim I don't think they'll give a fukk about any other 'essential' employee.
