Look, you can make an argument about federal aid, but thats so insignificant to the SS coming in and doing whatever they please on our streets

You rally against the military industrial complex at every turn....except this one? This is quite literally the MID expanding its powers onto our domestic streets

There are plain clothes "federal officers" straight up snatching citizens off the streets. The feds are tear gassing the local Mayor. Big governments power is literally expanding on the streets of Portland right now and you're supporting/indifferent to it because the city asked the fed for some of their tax revenue back.

i guess i'm trying to imagine how i would feel if i actually lived there, and these fakkits came in on their college summer breaks and burned down the business that i had been working at for 5 years, or the bars i went out to on the weekends, or my kids didnt feel safe going outside because all this shyt was going on. and it had been going on for 55 days

i don't think i'd give a fukk about the feds coming in to target the people who did that it's been 2 months. this was going to happen eventually. and yes they should be wearing badges, but it would be the same thread if they weren't

i'm pretty anti-police, but im tired of turning on the news and watching the democrats try to downplay the destruction and conflating it with peaceful protesting. give it a couple months and watch how bad the damage really is from all this shyt

The article is from early June. There are no stores being vandalized currently. I’m not understanding how this warrants federal agents on the street. What are they supposed to do? And how do they help?
