A lot of us southsiders grew up in the middle of the element and did just fine..

We went to the same schools with the same teachers.

Played at the same parks and sometimes hung out together..

We were essentially living in the same poverty..

The only difference is the household..


The black people who's doing alright out here grew up around these same people..

At some point people have to realize a lot of kids make their own decisions regardless as to impact their parents may make or not. I know people that came from the worst of circumstances and became successful, and people that came from a stable two parent household and was the worst of the worst.

it's easy to blame the parents and sometimes it's their fault
but parents can only do so much your children are going to make their own decisions
kids are influenced by their peers and their environment
they spend at least 8 hours out the home w/ their friends at school and other extracurricular activities
people underestimate how much their children's peers and the environment outside the home affect them
people are also oversimplifying the matter by bringing it down to household only

There's a difference between not listening to your parents about shyt like your hair and where you wanna go to school or whether you fukkin early and shyt like murkin people and being joyful about the deaths of your opps.

You don’t have to move your kids to a better neighborhood to raise them good. Just saying. One thing I notice about parenting in America is that people tend to let their kids do w/e they want.

There's a way to instill the fear of God in your kids without being straight up abusive. The reason why none of y'all went this route is due in part because you knew nothing would hurt you more than letting them down or embarrassing them and if you did you had hell to pay. I can't speak for Duck's moms but the biggest consequence to his fukkery shoulda been whatever she had in mind and that wasn't the case. Ain't nobody so tough they're gonna flex on their moms in public. They're more likely to blubber and sob about why she wasn't there and shyt.

the thing is too many nikkas have too high a tolerance for fukkery, even if they didnt directly instill fukkery in their kids.

My own parents wouldve disowned me for being in the streets. I see African parents do this to their kids too (or alternatively beat the shyt out of them). My point is culturally with them, there is no tolerance for bullshyt. We need to emulate that attitude, especially among women who raise, coddle, and/or fukk and procreate with these nikkas.
