i see where joe is coming from. battling is part of hip-hop and if you're a rapper who wants the crown then you rise to the occasion and get at it.

cole seems like the type who want people to judge him for his music, not beef or headlines. people can say cole is p*ssy or can't be #1 now but they can't deny his talent and his albums. might delete later is still one of the best albums this year and if the fall off is amazing then all of this will be forgotten.

No the fukk it won't :mjlol:

He did. Crack is right about that.

I don’t know if I've ever been more disappointed in an MC in my life, with that apology sh*t.

Did yall really wanna see a 3 way rap battle:comeon:?

When the hype has been Drake vs Kendrick for a decade now?

J Cole took himself out of a conversation he never belonged in in the first place.

I'd imagine this has been said multiple times over the last few months but again...the thing that makes Cole's decision more egregious is that he has spent the last 2-3 years on some pure rappity rap "I'm the best MC, I'll kill anyone on a track" shyt. you can't have that energy and then back out of a beef talking about "the old me" lmao. nikka that's not the old you, that's been you for the last couple years! And the minute you felt challenged, you folded. That's ugly...

He should have kept out of it. Everyone knew who Kendrick's main target was. And if we keep it a buck, both Drake and Kendrick kind of lil bro'd Cole in this shyt. Drake rapped about Cole losing sleep, Kendrick rapped about Drake doing him dirty....they were not talking about this man like a peer, they talked about him like he's Fredo Corleone. The good, kind hearted weak nikka who has to go home when the big boys come out to play. That shyt BOTHERS me. It has to bother him. The rap game waited a decade for a battle and not only did you weirdly butt your head into shyt, you then exited like a child who wanders downstairs when the grownups are playing cars and smoking. You went back upstairs and heard grown ups laughing...

For the record I think Kendrick has respect for Cole and didn't take the diss personal. But Drake has to be done with that nikka.
Cole did it to himself. He had an opportunity to not be Fredo. He swung back before Drake did. Honestly the entire album sounded like he was ready for war. We knew Kendrick’s target was Drake but Cole coulda made himself the focal point if he dropped something crazy. Kendrick would now have to fire at multiple targets like Drake did. As epic as the battle was it could have been even more so

'Fukk the big 3, it's just big me." Kendrick tagged him in and he backed the fukk down.
He even said he was hugging and kissing Drake on stage after backed out.
He's just not like that despite all his "I'm the best!" shyt talking he did prior to being called out.

He didnt say anything on "Like Dat" worth Jcole or even Drake for that matter to jump out the window:mjlol:

Sure J Cole couldve stayed in,but reality is people were looking at him as the undercard fight. People was really waiting for Drakes response so the main event could go down. So why let people gas him up to do something he dont really want to do. When they looking at him as something to past the time until the real battle happens?

If he wouldve performed well, yes he wouldve upped his status potentially. But I honestly feel the universe restored balance and put him back where he belonged. People been gassing him up for 2-3 years now at least:mjlol:

The battle showed he wasnt in the same tier as Kendrick and Drake.

So my respect for J Cole hasnt changed. He never was that guy or "like that" to begin with. Everyone deciding that about him after backing out, have just been bought back to that reality

He didn't say anything on Like That worth Cole or even Drake for that matter to jump out the window?! No wonder they both did. That's just cope. :mjlol:
He definitely did show he isn't in the top 3 tho. That I agree with.

Really he didnt, they couldve easily just kept trading subs for the next 3-5 years. Threw some vague competetive "im the best" bars back at Kendrick. It was nothing that had anybody saying Drake or Jcole couldnt do anything else until they respond to that song:mjlol:

Im pretty sure thats what Kendrick actually expected.

You are really trying to convince yourself he didn't directly get called out? Wow. :mjlol:
He couldn't go the sub route because he got called out directly. That's why they both didn't do that.

I dont remember them being called out directly,no names got used irrc. We call those subliminals in my era. He made it obvious enough, but acting like it was scathing and had to be responded to:comeon:

Folks wouldnt still be thinking about that track had they allowed fans short attention spans to do what they do. Yeah in real time it seemed like pressure.

But pressure are real diss records like No vaseline,Hitemup,Takeover. Do you think N.W.A,Biggie and Nas couldve just went on with their careers and not addressed it? Drake and J Cole wouldve been out of the woods in 2-3 months tops:mjlol:

"First Person Shooter, I hope they came with three switches."
After Cole names the Big 3, Kendrick says "fukk the big 3' on a song that becomes the #1 song in the country for weeks.
If they didn't reply they would have looked like chumps. So they replied. Don't twist yourself in a pretzel trying to change the past. :mjlol:
