Gugu's career has been an interesting one. She has all the right ingredients to be a top A-list actor in Hollywood(beauty, talent, drive.etc), but most of her projects end up falling under the radar. It's like she's always on the cusp of having a break through, but never realized.

I have a feeling she's going to be well in her 40's before she truly makes it.

I really wanted to like this movie but a lot was missing. I guess it would be ok serving as some what of an origin story.
