Ev is in my top 10 active emcees right now. I know that might seem crazy, but I completely agree with you. I used to hate him. He's an acquired taste, but once you catch onto it, it's very very dope.

i don't want to overrate it to the point people start throwing rocks at me but that layover project of his is a CLASSIC to me personally, yeah i said it i think it's that good... and obviously his best album (now that i think about it with phonte, blu, william, krondon defari alchemist fash aloe and elzhi on it i don't know how you can love hip hop and not like that)

dreams and amen favorites so far, decent release, higher expectations for the ecology though, and when the hell is that nas label compilation gonna be in my headphones, c'mon esco!!!

I agree. It's my favorite project of his and it made me realize I slept on Weatherman LP. I know Ev said he tried to study Kill At Will and All Souled Out as the main inspirations for it. Nice and short, good mix of solo and guest spots. Solid production. It's when his flow really started improving. Yeah. Classic to me

Just downloaded both the layover tape and the ep. Evidence is my favorite CAC rapper i think ever. eminem sucks, action bronson yeah right. who else keeps it as real and pure as Evidence?
