This movie doing badly has nothing to do with Fantastic 4. The movie and all the FF movies before it are JUST BAD.

Period.

A Fantastic Four movie can be done BY MARVEL and the shyt will do heavy numbers and kill it.

Stick as closely to the source material as possible and you will succeed. Nolan showed you. Marvel showed you.

Fox just does'nt care, that's the problem. Haven't you guys seen the Sony e-mails that leaked a while ago? These execs don't care. The point of this movie was to release something so they wouldn't lose the rights to the FF. This isnt a matter of putting out a movie or universe to contend with the MCU or the developing DCU because even Fox is not that stupid to EVER believe they can catch up or contend with Marvel/DC right now.

Lets be real: a good portion of you supported this movie because Micheal B Jordan was in it and you wanted to support the breh. Cool. But not for this crap. Don't sully yourselves.

When Marvel eventually gets the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four, Fox will regret all these wasted movies

I seriously doubt they'll get X-Men back. Fox might be willing to listen to Disney now though for those F4 rights....

Fox is going to have to sell the rights back to Marvel just so they can turn a profit :mjlol:

I mean..once the buzz about Dr. Doom came out, that he wasn't gonna be the Doom in Latveria, who outpreps everyone, has untouchable armor, and always has the last word over any NIGH powered being? When that got messed up? The movie was gonna flop. He was the ONE everyone wanted to see done right....you can have a Black Johnny Storm but Doom is the star of the FF franchise. If they would of done him the right way? This movie would of done HUGE.

I fukk with the casting for this movie, how could they fukk this up :mjcry:

Like this breh:

“Days before production began, Fox came in and made him pull three main action sequences out of the film. I was also told that the ending of the film was not even Josh Trank’s… that at some point they hijacked the editing bay from him to the point where the edit of the film was done without him…Yesterday both Kristian [Harloff] and I spoke with another source – this is a second source – that confirmed everything we had heard from my first source… that [Fox] had essentially put out a film that was not the film that they had originally sat down to make…I made some calls to some friends of mine - filmmakers - who had done business with Fox, and I just ran some of the facts by them that I had been hearing and said, ‘Does this sound consistent with your experience with Fox?’ And they said, ‘You have no idea.’ And then they proceeded to tell me a lot more stuff... I feel confident enough that I’ve heard this from enough places – enough reputable places – to tell you this: the film that we saw, in Fantastic Four, was not the film they were supposed to make. It was not the film that Josh Trank made.”

Only person I've seen not completely shyt on it has been Kris from Insanity Check, after seeing that movie...i disagree so much with him. I wanted to like the movie, but the movie doesn't develop the 4 as a group, Ben and Sue don't even talk to each other in the movie. It seems like as the movie was picking up the movie ended. It ain't as bad as the rating says, but it as at around a 2.5/3 out of 5. The movie seemed like it was cut to shyt by someone who didn't know what movie they wanted.

The $120 million movie (that doesn't include the tens of millions spent on marketing) is likely to be one of 2015's biggest flops as it will likely lose as much as $60 million for the studio. That's one hell of a hit, and it's hard to imagine them wanting to risk moving ahead with a sequel based on these numbers. An analyst tells The Hollywood Reporter that Fantastic Four amounts to, "a negative start to Fox's already cautious forecast for a $200 million year-over-year decline in studio segment profits in fiscal year 2016."
