I’ve been hitting the gym lately and I wanted to create a playlist that delivers some energy as I began my workout. What a feeling it is to finally be on RINSE. It's been months in the making and we are finally here. If you only knew the efforts that we went through to do this show. This was hours of preparation. Felt amazing to do this session at our HQ; our home. This is such a heavy hitter show packed with exclusives from start to finish as well as some classics as always. Joe really took it there by playing some forthcoming material from some of our artists such as Sango, Carmack, Esta, and more.

Ohh hey hey! Look who’s back!
Soul singer Goapele has returned with a brand new single perfect to kick off the summer. Titled “Hey Boy,” the track is a fun and flirty uptempo with a retro feel that will “make you break out your roller skates—even if you haven’t in years,” says Goapele.
“I wanted to do my version of an uptempo song this time around—something fun to perform and dance to,” she tells ESSENCE.
Goapele enlisted Estelle as a co-writer and producer Keith Harris and his writing team to create the song. She says the departure from her usual mellow soul sound is a hint of what’s to come on her new album, Strong As Glass.
“[It's] full of surprises and I hope my fans will enjoy this musical journey with me,” she says. “I sung my heart out on this project and I got to work with producers & writers that pushed me as an artist.”
