The problem wiil be when they call attention to black actors voicing non black characters. It would've made more sense for them to have the characters be voiced by black actors from the start.
like they said this is getting ridiculous, what's next why are females/males voicing females/males
if it's a historic figure in a movie then use the right race for the job but for cartoons / anime

There's a lot of shuffling around doing small things to appear sensitive to the struggle, and while that's great... it's just going to lead to the original thing we're actually asking for getting so buried under all the attempts to make good that the singular thing this is actually about ends up not getting done.
Cool for cartoons and rice and syrup and all that, and it's important, but the president of the country is calling for 10+ year jail sentences for anyone pulling down statues that never should have fukking been up in the first place. They are literal participation trophies for people who lost a war that the world has collectively decided they were the villains of. That same president has been implicated in knowing of bounties on American heads and did nothing about it.
His racism is bare and apparent and he isn't making any attempts at hiding it, and I could give a fukk less about Aunt Jemima because we was a Mrs. Buttersworth household.
But I definitely care about reforming the systemic problems in this country that allowed that man to get elected in the first place after campaigning on nothing but empty promises, rambling soliloquies, attacks on institutions of the country like the press, and dogwhistle racism so blatant it was just regular racism at times and only got overlooked because the sheer audacity of it took people by surprise.
Again, cool for cartoons and all that... but if this real shyt ain't sorted out in time, there won't be any fukking cartoons to go back to because there won't be any peace to watch them from.
