Did you guys miss the part where he said you can play the entire game solo dolo? :jbhmm:

Depends how they define and implement "you can play solo".

If there are solo servers where it's only you or it's only PvE ... that'll satisfy the solo explorers who want to retain the O.G. "lone survivor" feel of Fallout and be able to walk through the game at their own pace.

But, if it's only PvP servers and going solo essentially means your going solo vs. squads and it's anything goes ... that'll probably disappoint some folks. I mean who wants to explore a vault, start reading a terminal story ... and then start getting clapped in the back by a gang of 4?

The only slightly worrying thing for people who want solo ... he said in the presentation "you can play solo, but that's obviously much tougher." Not sure if that's explaining the mechanism or just trying to hype up co-op play with your friends.

Great. Now I have to deal with ignorant cacs while I'm trying to explore. This game is going to be another GTA Online. I think I'm going to pass on this game.

I can already imagine all the neo nazi and kkk clans these sexually repressed fakkits r gonna form in this game :mjlol:

How was the base building in 4? I never played it. Didn't hear good things.

I'm not really feeling that part. I was all the way in until they said that.

Not good enough to compensate for the disappointing writing, bugs, and shallow universe. You need mods to make base building enjoyable because Bethesda put minimal effort into it.

I don't think you have to play in online mode..

Nope, it’s 100% multiplayer, all he means is that you don’t have to necessarily play with other people, so regardless you’ll still have other people in your world running around

(06/11) Todd Howard Q&A with Geoff Keighley Highlights

  • You can not play Fallout 76 offline
  • Even when playing 'solo' you will see other players
  • There is a questline
  • There are no NPCs, excluding robots. Quests can still be given by terminals, holotapes etc.
  • PvP is still being tweaked. They don't want it to be "griefy" but want it to have drama
  • You can "decide" to do PvP; being aggressive or ignoring it
  • VATS exists but real-time, not slow-mo
  • Fallout 76 will "evolve over time", taking feedback into account and interaction with fans
  • "We love mods", "100% committed". Modding will be present but not at launch.
  • "Private world" will be possible down the line"

hmmmmm:patrice:

Yeah that’s trash.

What good is a private world If there is literally no other npc’s In any towns to interact with or take missions from :gucci:

This just seems like it will completely lack all of the ambience and atmosphere of a fallout game.

I mean on one hand I know why they made fallout co -op however the main fallout game shuld be co op not this side project. I think its them testing the co-op engine to tweak it for whehn fallout 5 comes out but I just cant get excited about them taking a single player play at your own speed experience and forcing it to be online only and forcing you to play it a certain way.

some games don't need PvP, my appeal to fallout was the fact that I ran shyt, I did what I wanted and was basically free to do whatever I wanted, I don't want to be forced into just being another guy in the wasteland

Todd just ducked and dodged when dude asked him if you could avoid PVP. So basically, you won't be able to play in peace...

I really don't understand Bethesda. The fans have clearly told them what they want for a Fallout game and yet they ignore it and are trying to turn Fallout into an action adventure game instead of keeping it an RPG like the majority of the fans want it to be.

They should have just let Obsidian handle Fallout and focus on Elder Scrolls.
