I was having fun doing this too, until I logged in to see my whole camp was gone.

nope...I'm done now.
It would of just gone into storage as a whole build, I’m assuming it only vanished cos someone was already in that space on whatever server you are on, next patch will tell you before joining that your space is taken and will ask if you want to join the next one to save replacing.

I'm placing this game on hold for now. I'm done until most of these bugs and issues are fixed.

right now I get just as much if not more frustration from playing than enjoyment.

This is what I had to do with FO4 too. I bought it day one at midnight but let it sit on my shelf for six months so they could fix the bugs and add a hardcore mode. I learned my lesson back then. This game still has a lot of potential I think, but I'll give them a couple months to do something interesting with it before coppin

SOHH I played another hour this morning.

Yeah I'm in, but this was a monumental fukkup by Bethesda. I'm enjoying the game, but the bugs are inexcusable. I've now experienced things disappearing on me, game restarts, console locking up and even full quests no longer being completed. The review scores and bashing are justified. This should have been an early access release and they should have known better. They damn well knew how bad things were as the discs were being printed and the master copy being uploaded to Microsoft/Sony.

What's interesting to me is that I'm enjoying this much more than I did with FO4. I'm mostly rolling solo as that's how I like to play fallout games, but had someone join me at Mama Dolce which was cool. I can't quite put my finger on what bothered me about FO4, but I think that there is a little twist this time around that felt refreshing as compared to the same old bullshyt as before. The old formula was stale and I can understand this release a lot more after playing it.

As some have stated. They have a good base here, but it will take anywhere between 1-2 years to get this fixed. Will they stick with it? My guess is yes because it's fallout. No other franchise I would be as confident. If the team at No Man's Sky can go ahead and turn that game around Bethesda has no excuse.

Level 8 right now and will likely have more hours on this than I did with FO4 by next week. I recommend that if you are a fan of fallout, but was disappointed with FO4 give this a try at a Redbox or a friend. The low scores and bashing are no surprise and glad the gaming community is holding them accountable for this.

How does the multiplayer work?
Is the full campaign co-op with 2 - 4 players?
Is the world heavily populated?
Is it drop in drop out multiplayer?
You can play solo for the most part or others can join you. The map is so large that even with players in the same world you can isolate yourself. It will likely never feel fully populated unless you organize a group of yourselves to link up.

Events are Co-Op. I am not sure about the full campaign being co-op though. I wouldn't think so. Multi is drop in/out.

Keep in mind that the game has it's issues if you are thinking of grabbing it. I had to tweak my hoarding tactics after my last crash.

Have you encounter any of the BoS yet?

Insha'llah

I'm trying to figure out what exactly you like about it compared to FO4. I mean, if you're mostly playing solo the difference is... what... the perk/leveling up system and story?

I think it's the fact that it's just something a bit different this time around. When I was playing through fallout 4 I felt like it was taking me down the same predictable stories, fighting the same raiders all over again. The settlement nonsense really bothered me to no end and for whatever reason the social hooks don't bother me as much here.

The events that pop up feel like they have real consequences and that random person popping in to help is cool. I do think I will link up with a few people shortly, but need to make sure that everything on my end is just the way I want it.

The combat system still sucks, but we have to give up with Bethesda on that end :russ:
