When I heard they didn't want to put this on Steam I was skeptical.
Now I see why they didn't want this game on Steam.
I really like ESO which is made by the same companies. Elder Scrolls online had a bad launch also. Hopefully they can turn it around... Might give it a try.
Thought they shared the same base engine and infrastructure...ESO was made by Zenimax Online Studios. Fallout 76 was made by Bethesda Games Studios, specifically Bethesda Games Studios Austin. I think the Austin studio is handling everything for Fallout 76.

If Bethesda wants to earn any of that good will back they better be planning on making fallout 76 a good game within the next year. They have no business worrying about microtransactions right now when they dont even have a decent game.I did at first until I read up on Fallout 76.
I don't think this game is going to improve that much. The Austin studio used to make mobile games. Probably why this game was going to be filled with microtransactions.

SOHH I played for about 2 hours. Yeah not great, but oddly enough I'm enjoying it more than Fallout 4 so far.
The whole world being slow to load upon first entering is a bit odd. This still feels like another small iteration on fallout 3. Graphics slightly improved, but still not good enough. I haven't met anyone yet because I'm slowly gathering all my scraps, getting food together, ammo and shyt. Those tics are annoying as fukk. I had to take down a couple of ghouls near that lumber mill.
Meh will keep playing with it, but definitely not buying this shyt.
I was having fun doing this too, until I logged in to see my whole camp was gone.Past all of the fukkery and bugs, I’m actually enjoying this game...crazy I know
I enjoy the levelling, map/exploring & camp building
