Fallout 76 has such a great map, and it feels like a complete waste.
Really could use an epic story. Ehhhh... I really hope they'll support it and add story expansions to it. This would be a sad waste of a great setting.
I don't understand why can't there be a legit fallout RPG MMO. Where you get a party and do storyline quest with choices and have dialog options among party members. Choices get voted by the squad. Fallout was never meant to be a MMO Destiny Shooter.
This game could of been something really revolutionary, but just kept cutting corners like Destiny and Sea of Thieves by making the player base "Create" their own story and fun. They got so many things right, but the complete refusal to put in any real story content is just upsetting.
You can do a game with service and still make a great product, but no company want to put in that Rockstar level of effort. It's just make a great fukking map and that's it. We will completely devoid the game with meaningful/ engaging content to really make hardcore fans stick with the product.
It's a bad game that has no reason to be bad whether it being online or not. Creating a real Fallout MMO would be great. Outside of the map, it's not there. You give the player an engaging story, side missions, and roles to fill. I'd pay $60 for that. I don't even like MMOs, but I'd eat that shyt up.
People aren't playing Fallout for the shytty gameplay in the same broken engine. It's the story... and "player-created" stories is byfar the most awful copout in MMO marketing bullshyt for cutting corners. Player moments should be supplemented with your own narrative. Just really disappointed with the game more so than being angry or upset. No excuses for completely abandoning a real narrative, and it sunk the whole game. When you have games like God OF War, RDR2,Ass Creed, and Spider-man that don't cut corners. Yet, these half ass games as services like Sea of Thieves, Destiny, Anthem, and Fallout 76 that do cut it. They need to bomb and really send a message that these MMO services really need to raise their shytty standards of their product before launch. Tired of these wait till post launch a year later with $70 expansion packs to fix a $60 game. Just unacceptable.
